Choose Ring when the household already uses Ring/Alexa and accepts cloud-recording costs. Choose eufy E340 when usable on-device recording without a mandatory plan is the priority and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi/no HomeKit fit the home.

Reliability and outages
eufy’s local recorder can preserve supported local events during some internet outages, while remote alerts and viewing can fail. Ring relies on its network/cloud path for recording history. Wi-Fi quality, power and firmware matter for both.
Power warning
Verify transformer voltage and VA against the exact instructions. Fixed wiring changes should be handled by someone suitably qualified.
