Last checked: 28 July 2026. This is a research-led Roborock range guide based on current official manufacturer information. Smart Home UK has not run equivalent hands-on cleaning, obstacle, threshold, noise or privacy tests. Prices and promotions can change and are not used as normal-price evidence.
The current decision is not “which Roborock has the largest number?” Saros 20, Saros 10 and Qrevo Edge 2 use different navigation, mopping and dock designs. The right fit depends on low furniture, thresholds, carpet, hair, camera preferences, dock space, parts and total ownership cost.
Current Roborock UK positions
| Model | UK position | Architecture to assess | Main unresolved gate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saros 20 | Current flagship | StarSight perception, AdaptiLift chassis, DuoDivide and rotating-mop/dock system | Privacy, replacement parts and equivalent independent whole-home evidence |
| Saros 10 | Current premium/previous flagship | Retractable LiDAR, Reactive AI, DuoDivide and VibraRise vibrating-mop/dock system | Exact current price presentation, privacy, parts and home-specific clearance |
| Qrevo Edge 2 | Current mid-premium | RetractSense, Reactive AI, DuoDivide and rotating edge-reaching mops | Camera/video privacy, parts and equivalent independent evidence |
| S8 MaxV Ultra | Legacy/value; refurbished-only on the previously checked official store | Older S-series platform | Grade, stock, battery, accessories, returns and refurbished warranty |
The official Saros 20 page, Saros 10 page and UK Qrevo Edge 2 page support the architecture above. Manufacturer internal tests are useful for identifying claimed functions, not for declaring one model superior in every UK home.
Saros 20: who should shortlist it?
Shortlist Saros 20 when the home has demanding thresholds or low-clearance areas that match its documented chassis and perception design, and when the buyer wants the current flagship rotating-mop system. Measure the real obstacles and furniture; do not apply a laboratory maximum to every shape or surface.
Avoid or delay if the price premium depends on unverified cleaning gains, camera/video handling is unacceptable, or UK consumables and service are unclear. More automation also creates more components to clean and replace.
Saros 10: a different premium design
Saros 10 remains a current premium option, not obsolete S8 hardware. Its retractable LiDAR, Reactive AI and VibraRise vibrating mop differ materially from Saros 20’s perception and rotating-mop route. It may suit a buyer who prefers that architecture or finds a verified current offer after comparing the complete bundle.
Check whether automatic mop detachment, low-clearance behaviour and carpet modes match the home. Do not assume “previous flagship” means poor value or guaranteed discount; require the exact UK model, seller, warranty and same-day basket.
Qrevo Edge 2: current mid-premium route
Qrevo Edge 2 is the current mid-premium candidate in this guide. Its rotating mops, dual anti-tangle system and current dock can offer a lower entry point than Saros, but only a like-for-like current price check can establish value. Compare omitted features as carefully as included ones.
Choose it when its navigation, carpet handling and dock meet the property without paying for Saros-specific hardware. Avoid relying on headline suction, hot-water or “anti-tangle” claims as proof of better real-world cleaning.
Why S8 MaxV Ultra is not the default
S8 MaxV Ultra belongs to a legacy/refurbished decision. It must not displace the current Saros and Qrevo shortlist merely because an old review ranked it highly. A refurbished offer needs its own checks for grade, battery health, dock and accessories, consumable compatibility, returns and warranty. This page adds no S8 purchase recommendation or affiliate route.
Older Q and S models may remain at retailers, but a retailer search page is not proof that a specific product is current, in stock or supported. Treat every older model as an exact condition-and-value case.
Dock, floor and ownership checks
- Measure dock footprint, lid/tank clearance and the route for carrying dirty water.
- Map carpet, rugs, thresholds, low furniture, mirrors, cables and pet zones.
- Confirm mop lifting/detachment and carpet-first modes for the exact model.
- Price dust bags, filters, brushes, mops, approved solution and replacement parts.
- Check UK warranty handling, return shipping and regional plumbing-dock support.
Privacy, app and support
Review camera/video controls, map storage, remote viewing, household sharing and deletion before commissioning. Enable only the functions needed, use unique credentials and keep firmware current. Record the exact robot and dock versions because accessories that look similar may not be interchangeable.
For cross-brand context, use the main robot-vacuum guide. The vacuum-and-mop guide compares floor-care architecture, while the pet-hair guide focuses on brushes, fur and pet-mess risk. The older S8-only pages remain legacy references and are not expanded into current recommendations.
